Our Story

Untreated hearing loss has a devastating impact on individuals, families, and communities. Hearing loss can affect an individual physically, emotionally, socially, economically, and psychologically. Hearing Partners of South Florida is partnering with Hearing the Call to bring a reduced cost/sliding scale fee hearing clinic to southern Palm Beach County as well as global hearing healthcare to those in need. Treating hearing loss improves education opportunities, enhances human connection, and provides a bridge to full participation in life.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide hearing healthcare to individuals in Palm Beach County Florida and surrounding areas who cannot afford it on their own, while providing them with opportunities to give back to the community through service to others. We also provide hearing healthcare globally to those in need.

Our Vision

Our vision is to improve the quality of life of low-income individuals in our community with hearing loss through affordable hearing healthcare, and to create a “circle of giving” whereby the recipient of our services gives back to the community through service and gains a greater purpose while doing so.

Our Promise

Our promise is to maintain the integrity of all individuals we serve and help them to live their best life through better hearing. We provide hearing testing, and fit, and maintain hearing aids for low-income individuals and underserved families in South Florida as well as globally.

The Need

1 in 5 Americans suffer from hearing loss to an extent that it interferes with communication. In Palm Beach County, out of a population of 1.3 million, 16 percent have hearing loss. 2.5 million Floridians or 14% are below the poverty line. There are approximately 189,000 individuals in Palm Beach County alone living under the poverty line (Source: factfinder.census.gov). We believe no one should miss out on participating fully in life because of hearing loss. Many insurance companies do not cover any of the costs of treating hearing loss. Globally approximately 470 million people suffer from disabling hearing loss with 34 million of them being children. Hearing the Call-South Florida is a nonprofit campaign bringing hope and healing to the hearing-impaired.

Our Give Back Model

We are not a free clinic. We operate on a reduced fee schedule to make hearing healthcare affordable for individuals and families with incomes up to 250% of the federal poverty level. Individuals who qualify for hearing aids through the program pay a significantly reduced amount for a hearing aid. In return, our unique Circle of Giving model gives our patients the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteer hours. Our hearing aid donation program collects used hearing aids for credit and for global mission trips.
